Melody Maker, 15th April 1978

Bryan Ferry, in London looking for a house to make a permanent home in Britain, is planning a British tour this autumn. No details are available yet but it is understood he will definitely be playing a series of UK shows with a new band in the late summer.

A new Ferry album, "The Bride Stripped Bare," is released in mid-May. A Lou Reed song, "What Goes On," is taken from the album and released as a single on Friday this week. Musicians on the album and single are guitarists Waddy Wachtel and Neil Hubbard, bass player Alan Spenner and drummer Rick Marotta.

Former Roxy Music player Andy Mackay has signed as a solo artist to Bronze Records, and is due to start work on an album set for autumn release.

Mackay has released one previous solo album -- "In Search of Eddie Riff", and since Roxy Music disbanded he has written and produced the music for two Rock Follies albums as well as composing theme tunes for TV series Hazell and Armchair Thriller.
