EMI have officially announced that Bryan Ferry will be releasing a new studio album of original material through Virgin Records in September.
An impressive list of collaborators on the set includes David Gilmour, Jonny Greenwood, Nile Rodgers, Marcus Miller, Mani and Flea, while songwriting contributors include Scissor Sisters and Groove Armada.
Mention of the Scissors Sisters' material may be another blow to the fading hopes of there being another Roxy Music album. It was widely reported in 2006 that that material was envisaged originally for that project.
Nevertheless, confirmation that Bryan Ferry will be releasing his 13th solo studio album is welcome news.
