looking for a personal review of this gig. Can you help? I wasn't at this festival appearance, in which Roxy Music topped the final night bill above De Mens, Postmen, Stereophonics, Weezer, Anouk, Muse, PJ Harvey, Placebo and Faithless. The setlist has been further reduced for this appearance with Street Life and Mother Of Pearl dropped. This means that the set was around 1 hour 20 minutes, although I am sure this is due to the constraints of the festival schedule. I understand that the response from a mixed rock crowd (rather than a conventional Roxy crowd) was very strong, with the chanting continuing after the band closed the show. There were an estimated 60,000 rock fans at the show. |
