US folk-rockers 10,00 Maniacs released their subtle version of More Than This in 1997 as both a single (reaching #25 in the US charts) and on the album Love Amongst The Ruins. The vocal was by Mary Ramsey, replacing Natalie Merchant, who had left to persue a solo career.
